About Us

Since 1962, Shepherds Camp has been offering full care, overnight camp in Brackney, Pennsylvania for teens and adults with developmental disabilities. We offer 10 weeks of summer camp including 4 weeks of specialized 1:1 sessions for campers requiring individualized care. We are able to accommodate wheelchairs, feeding tubes, food modifications, suprapubic catheters/colostomy bags, and the need for bed rails, hoyer lifts, 24-hour supervision, and more. Shepherds Camp serves campers of all ages, our oldest camper was 96!

We are now offering additional camp sessions in the fall, winter, and spring! Our new seasons of Shepherds Camp include the classic camp activities, personalized programming, and independent living skills enrichment.

Campers sleep in cabins or dormitories and are invited to join us for camp activities such as archery, bocce ball, arts & crafts, music & Bible, mini golf, group games, and chapel. Our facility sits on a beautiful clear lake, providing the opportunity for optional waterfront activities including wading, swimming, and boating. Each week we also provide special programs and activities including: talent show, picnics, movie night, water games, hayrides, dance parties, musical guests, and theme night.

Our camp is inspected every year by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Broome NY Developmental Services. Shepherds Camp has been approved by the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) to care for adults with developmental disabilities.
