About Us

There are two purposes of the OA/CTS Department of the Oneonta Job Corps Academy. One is to recruit students to enroll in our certified vocational programs coupled with academic training. Students are screened based on certain criteria for example, low income. Once admitted, students have options of getting certified in Medical Trades (CMA, CNA, HOT), Construction (Tile Setting, Cement Masonry,) Facilities Maintenance), Electrical, Auto Body and Auto Tech. There are also Advanced Trade Offerings.

Once the student completes the program, Career Transition Services are offered to aid in the placement of students in appropriate trade related jobs. We encourage business members to employ our graduates who have certified trades.
