Production Engineering Support Assistant

ENSCO Avionics, Inc. has a need for a hands-on Production Support Engineer for troubleshooting and repair of Avionic control systems and associated test equipment. The systems are a wide variety of Avionic Power, Engine, and Flight Control systems ranging from Analog based designs through high speed digital systems. Candidate will perform Acceptance Test runs on Automated systems, failure analysis, board level debug, software loads, and support field failure investigations. If you are good with electrical diagnostics, we have the place for you Avionic controls are utilized for controlling hundreds of functions from simple lighting to complex engine and flight control systems. Candidate for the position will work with the design Engineering team to resolve field failures with component level testing in production test environment. Knowledge of circuit design, electrical engineering concepts, and ability to follow established test processes is required. Drawing markups will be provided in schematic form to the responsible engineer. The tests are conducted on advanced Avionic test stands, prior test experience would be a plus.

Qualifications Required (Skills):

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience; or BS or equivalent with 1 year experience
  • Experience with electronic circuits and electrical engineering concepts
  • Experience with controlled testing of products with procedural guidance MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including working in team environments
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients and colleagues
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Qualifications Desired:
  • Test Equipment experience
  • Schematic design or use for electronic assemblies
  • Experience with software scripting languages
  • Circuit Board assembly skills with soldering and wiring
