Job Description

ENSCO Avionics, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an Avionics Systems Engineer skilled in full life cycle development for Avionic Engine and Flight Control Systems.  The position will focus on the front-end Systems Architect roles with development and decomposition of System Requirements, System Architecture and Systems Solution Design.  The work is performed at embedded single unit level though multiple Systems of Systems solutions are also possible.  Roles will include the development of the High-Level Requirements HLR, Plan for Software/Hardware Aspects of Certification PSAC/PHAC, as well as development of the system level test plans.  Candidates for this position should have knowledge of Avionic Certification objectives including DO-178, DO-254, and ARP4754.  Requirements are managed with CM systems and traced through DOORs.  Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering a plus.  Throughout the cycle the position will utilize industry best practice systems engineering and development processes and will consider both the business and the technical needs of the end-user with the goal of providing a quality product.
 

Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years related experience  
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Experience with Commercial/Military Avionic Systems Engineering process
  • knowledge of Avionic Certification objectives including DO-178, DO-254, and ARP4754
  • Experience with the Development and Decomposition of System Architecture
  • Experience with the Development and Decomposition of System Requirements
  • Experience with Systems level Test Plans, Procedures, and Results
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients and colleagues

Qualifications Desired

  • Experience with System PSAC/PHAC development
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Design
  • Requirements management experience using DOORS or similar tool
  • Configuration management experience using RAZOR, SYNERGY, or similar tool
