About the Role:
As the Handling Certification Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the handling certification program, ensuring efficient operations, effective team management, and high standards of client service. This role involves supervising staff, managing certification workflows, and fostering a collaborative team culture. You will also play a key role in policy development, complex certification decisions, and representing NOFA-NY within the organic industry.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Required Experience: 5+ years in organic certification, with expertise in handling operations.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, including the USDA National Organic Program.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IOIA Organic Inspector training or equivalent experience.
  • Audit training in food quality production systems or a related field.
