Social Media: Getting Started with Content Creation
Learn what you need to know to create and share engaging content across platforms. Entrepreneurs, freelancers, creatives, small business owners, and anyone looking to effectively communicate in a digital space will benefit from this up-to-date and hands-on course. In these 4 weeks, you will be creating impactful photos and videos from your own home, crafting and implementing your own tailored strategies, and navigating content sharing platforms with a new sense of proficiency. Students unable to attend Zoom sessions can still participate. Plan on 2 to 6 hours of engagement in readings and activities per week. Students who complete assessments will be eligible for the Social Media Content Creation badge. Students who successfully complete all three social media classes may apply for Prior Learning Assessment credit for BIT42 – Social Media for Professional Use. Learning outcomes: • Achieve a better grasp of your own brand image and develop your approach to content creation. • Create high-quality, effective media from your own home. • Explore scheduling, organization, and growth tools to streamline your process. • Master in-app tools for video creation, product promotion, and maximize your engagement. The first and last session of this class will be online through Zoom. You will receive a Zoom invitation prior to class. You must have Zoom downloaded on your computer and have a webcam, audio (microphone) and internet to take this class. Class content during the weeks of January 30 and February 6 is asynchronous – you may work independently at your own pace.
