This fully online, self-paced Blackboard course will continue the basics of HTML5 and CSS3 code for the creation of websites following Introductory HTML/CSS. Students will learn to code websites which are responsive (display properly on all devices) and include lists, tables, and web forms while incorporating strong design skills for layout and navigation. This micro-credential provides students with the opportunity to get started in this dynamic career by building on basic HTML/CSS coding skills. This micro-credential is part of a stackable sequence which must be taken in this order: HTML/CSS Intro; HTML/CSS Intermediate; HTML/CSS Advanced. Individuals seeking a micro-credential will need to apply, achieve at least a 75% on their project and at least 75% on an exam. SUNY Broome students completing all three badges may apply for Prior Learning Assessment credit for BIT 173 Website Creation with HTML/CSS. The textbook, HTML5 and CSS3, Illustrated Complete, 2nd Edition, by Sasah Vodnik, ISBN-13: 978-1305394049 is available to purchase at the SUNY Broome bookstore, or can be rented through cengage.com.
