Start here to learn the power of Excel spreadsheets in business and organizational data management. This course covers the basic concepts and applications of spreadsheets in business, health sciences, and service industries. Students will learn to create spreadsheets in Excel that model common business or organizational needs using formulas, functions, formatting, what-if analysis, graphs and charts. Students should plan on 6 hours of material each week. Students who complete this course with satisfactory scores on assessments will be eligible for the Spreadsheets: Fundamentals badge. Software: Windows version of Excel 365/Excel 2019/Excel 2021 Textbook: TBA Learning Outcomes: • Work with introductory formulas/functions • Demonstrate how to do basic formatting • Create business models with IF and VLOOKUP functions • Show proficiency with the basics of chart and graph creation • Apply the above spreadsheet skills to case studies in business, health sciences, and service industries Instructor: Sandy Wright * CP 200
