This year's theme will focus on Uniting in Divisive Times. The Let Us Dream Conference seeks to empower people of diverse age groups and backgrounds to participate in building a better tomorrow. This conference offers an opportunity to explore and share the many and varied community-service possibilities and intervention models. The primary intent is to create an inclusive, diverse, cross-cultural environment for sharing and growth through community improvement discourse among scholars, practitioners, students, and volunteers. It operates using an impactful and effective community-based working model that joins people together while also bridging community organizations. The conference will include three panel discussions: education, health and social. Keynote speakers include Dr. Lotta Granholm, Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical campus will present Maintaining a Healthy Brain in the face of Stress, Injury and Adversity; and Kristin Licardi, Associate Executive Director of Behavioral Health Services at Green Chimneys Children's Services in Brewster, New York, will present Cultivating Resilience in Turbulent Times. The conference will spotlight a local community unsung hero organization that impacts the lives of others in our community with their selfless contributions. Be part of the change to build a better tomorrow. The event is hosted by Binghamton University's College of Community and Public Affairs, SUNY-Broome Community College, Lourdes, The Institute for Justice and Well-Being, The NYSED Central/Western Community Schools Technical Assistance Center, Binghamton University Community Schools and the Let Us Dream Organization. Let Us Dream is a non-profit organization, comprised of diverse programs for the holistic development of local community leadership.
