Responsibilities include requirements through integration of VHDL/Verilog coded FPGA devices, providing technical contributions and guidance on embedded DO-254 process compliance, developing DO-254 project planning documents and Hardware Life Cycle artifacts, and developing verification technical solutions, approaches and levels of effort estimates. Qualifications Required (Skills)
•U.S. Citizenship required
•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
•3 years of relevant embedded Avionics or similar Safety Critical experience
•Experience with System On a Chip (SOC) and FPGA architecture, design, and development (VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog), associated tools (Vivado, Libero, Xilinx ISE), and IP Cores
•Familiar with DO-254 DAL A/B Design Assurance concepts and methods such as Functional Failure Path Analysis (FFPA), Elemental Analysis, and/or Formal Methods Qualifications Desired
•Experience with Configuration Management (CM) and Change Control concepts and tools (DOORS, Subversion, Mantis, Jira, etc.)
•Experience working with Functional Requirements and defining Requirement Based Tests (NOTE: testing based solely upon requirements)
•Experience performing HDL Synthesis/Simulation (eg. ModelSim/Questa, Synplicity, etc.)
•Familiarity with DO-254 design analyses (Instantiation, Pin, Timing, etc.) and IP compliance strategies
•Experience designing portable, scalable Test Bench for testing
