This day-and-a-half training will illuminate various aspects of transgender, gender non-conforming, non-binary lives. From raising gender-expansive children to use of hormone therapy, from best policies in healthcare to traumas affecting T/GNC lives, this event is for everyone who is ready to make their practice and their world more affirming and inclusive. You may come for all or part of the event. Choose from various pricing and continuing education unit (CEU) options.
The keynote address, "Moving Beyond Access: A New Vision for Healthcare," will be presented by Cecilia Gentili of Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC), at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10. The address will be followed by a reception and is open to the public for a fee of $10.
The event will begin at noon Thursday, with various panel discussions held throughout both days, ending at 5 p.m. Friday. The cost to attend is $25 for students, $45 for adults, and $45-145 for nurses, physicians, social works and substance abuse counselors who are interested in obtaining continuing education units (CEU's).
