Binghamton University’s Watson School offers Continuing Education for Engineers. The Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Course (GD&T) is a 6-hour course that closely follows the ASME Y14.5-2009 standard and will provide class participants with the ability to: • Understand GD&T definitions, terminology and basic rules • Explain the general dimensioning concepts • Describe the symbology and datums used in GD&T drawings • Discuss the effects of various application options on GD&T • Calculate critical values using GD&T • Read a GD&T drawing and begin applying it to actual designs This course complies with the requirements of the NYS Office of Professions for continuing education credit. At the successful completion of the class, the participants will have earned 6 PDH credits to help satisfy a portion of their Professional Engineering continuing education requirements.
