Eggs & Issues Feb. 2017 - What are the Benefits of Spending the Day in Albany?

MicroNet Templatesupport2025-02-18T20:53:31-05:00

Spending the day in Albany and talking local legislators and leaders in NYS Government has many benefits. We will be discussing these benefits and how to make the most out of your time. This event will give us the opportunity to arm you with information to be a more effective advocate on important issues affecting your business when meeting with our legislators on Small Business Lobby Day in Albany on Tuesday, March 14.

Moderator:
Art Price, Vice President, Triple Cities Pipe Cleaning; Art has made many trips to Albany to represent the Southern Tier on Small Business Lobby Day.  Art also serves on the advisory board for the NY National Federation of Independent Businesses.

Featured Speakers:
Greg Biryla, Executive Director, Unshackle Upstate; Prior to his work at Unshackle Upstate, Greg worked at the Capital.  Greg spends much of his time in Albany working directly with the Senate, Assembly and the Governor’s office, advocating for Businesses in Upstate NY.

Representatives from Senator Fred Akshar’s and Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo’s offices.  These representatives sit with and discuss issues with constituents on a daily basis.  They will speak from experience on what they see, what works and what does not work in trying to get the Legislator’s attention on important issues.  They will also discuss the “do’s and don’ts” when visiting the Legislators in their offices.
